.IT Domains

Established in 1987, Italy’s .IT country-code TLD is quite popular both within the country and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for constructing creative and appealing domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to create an easy-to-remember domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to go back to your website or to give it with colleagues and acquaintances. The extension can also be used for a website, which is linked to the information sector having in mind the fact that IT is an abbreviation, which is well-known around the world.

As dot IT domains are not provided directly by IT-NIC, the Registry that administers this extension, such a domain can be bought through a third-party registration provider, such as ours. We will manage the registration process for you and take care of submitting your application to the Registry organization. You can secure a .IT domain for a one-year period at a time, and the domains are transferable, so you can move your existing domain over to our firm and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed. The sole condition is that the person purchasing such a domain needs to be situated in a country, which is a member of the EU.

Since there are existing 2nd-level Domains that include names of different regions and localities in Italy reserved for local 3rd-level registrations, new names that consist of geographical areas of any kind are not permitted on any level to avoid any future confusion. We do not support such 3rd-level domains, though, considering the fact that they can be registered only by locals.
